Banksy is a well known graffiti artist in London. I think Banksy is the most famous artist that until this day chooses to remain anonymous. You can count on his work being on public property relating to the topics of politics, culture, and ethics. He has a distinct stenciling style that is superior to anything that I have ever seen. Banksy found that stenciling allowed him to create masterpieces in a convenient (worrying about police) amount of time. His stencils feature crazy images usually accompanied with a slogan. The slogan is usually anti-war, anti-capitalist, and down right hysterical. Most of his subjects include animals (monkeys and rats), policemen, soldiers, children, and the elderly. Some call Banksy's work pure vandalism, but I call it pure genius.
