I'm sorry, I had to grab the laptop asap when I heard this man (John McCain) say, "We are a much safer nation now, but a long way from safe"! What the hell....does that....mean! This year in my philosophy class we are talking about vague claims, and man is this a perfect example. A vague claim is a claim that lacks sufficient precision to convey the information appropriate to its use. For example, the proper use of John McCain's claim would have been to explain how we are as a nation in terms of security compared to 9/11. When you say something like, "We are a much safer nation now, but a long way from safe" is not what we call sufficient precision to make a point. This dude is a clown! Goodnight yall!
